I know BMI is the butt of many jokes at our track (almost as many as CRC is) - but Jason @BMI is about to launch a new car. Sounds like he is taking quite a few aspects of the Yokomo, onpoint, and team tamale cars/parts into his design:
Bellcrank steering, inline battery, dual wishbone front arms (which he confirmed is ROAR legal for 1/12th, just not for WGT) with separate shocks for each - unlike the Yok cars which have one for both, an adjustable rear pod, and spring sides (no more flex plates).
Should be interesting to see when it launches what it does. If the front end works well and the geometry is good for the rear pod it could be interesting.

Besides for the fact the DB12RR (which is a 6 year old design now) I had didn't handle nearly as good as the V-Dezign, I did always like dealing with Jason at BMI. Could be interesting to see how this car stacks to other mainstream and hard to find cars out there.

haha, Ryan I assume this post means you made it (and hopefully the trailer) to Rapid OK?
Me liking BMI is no different than Mario liking CRC... we'll root for the underdog no matter how crappy or ill designed their cars are
And I agree, nothing BMI has put out as been a front row car by any means (all have used that flex plate system which is far inferior to the side springs on current link cars). The fact he ditched the old adjustable front end, and the flex plate sides tells me he's learning from his mistakes. I posted that for more of a curiosity to watch what comes of that.
My CRV's aren't going anywhere But if the BMI turns out to be a fast car, who knows... Not holding my breath though. I am curious if he'll get someone to field a car at Nats to see how it stacks up.

This entry list makes me wish I still lived in Victoria, BC: http://65.61.203.61/wcics/swce.html
Best part is that their classes are 10.5 and 17.5 boosted. Even WGT is 13.5 boosted.

I'll be in Horsham,PA for Nats bitches.
Booked the SW flights ( I think they are the same ones many of you are taking. Fly out of Denver at ~10am on the 13th, and fly out of PA at 2:15pm on the 18th. both nonstop)
Staying at the Days Inn in Horsham, and I have a rental car for week. (both paid for with CC points I had kicking around, making this trip quite cheap).
That and I have a T3 2012 coming so I can get some 17.5 touring action in addition to some of the other classes.

Im sure Joey would take the CR-V's off your hands . Then you can go back to running the pile of shit BMI's you seem to like so much lol. Sorry but i dont think Jason knows much about building cars since ive never seen any do very well, maybe he just doesnt have very good team drivers lol.

Phase 2 - Now who has those CR-V's for sale? I might know a guy who knows a guy that may be interested.

Who would have known killing off the weak brain cells, and maybe some good ones would be so much fun. I'd like to comment on some of the recent posts, but quick and witty banter seems to have eluded me with the mass consumption of tequila and corona.
Blah blah blah blah.

(Tim Getchell and I stayed at the La Quinta for MHIC last year and it was pretty nice. I think Brent usually stays in the Holiday Inn.)

Are we using the same layout for slowbirds as the one that's up now or something different? I'm hearing conflicting reports.

I was under the impression this layout would be up until Snowbirds, then changed the Thursday before the 'birds race to the new layout for that event.

This layout will stay down for the snowbirds race.

The McGee has spoken, and the racers sayeth "McGee, thine word is good, for this layout shall prove challenging and provide close racing for all to see."
