Could one of you guys do me a favor? Next time you see Steve Grubb (he's there today) please have him email Mark Rutkowski at [email protected]. I lost his phone number in the post Fall Classic clean up! Thanks!

Does anyone know where there is a awesome carpet track in the Denver area?

Plan on making the trip next weekend and wanted to check a couple things. What is tire now? Jaco?

Next thing is I have several 5280 tshirts and IIC shirts that I have out-grown or in-grown or how ever you say, they dont fit me anymore. They are 3X. If someone there wants them please let me know and I will give them to you. If not they will go to goodwill I just figured someone at the track would get better use of them than someone going thru the racks at goodwill.

See everyone next week.

Tim

Hey Tim, Look forward to seeing you down next weekend!

Jaco Blue is the current "spec" tire, we have them at the track.

Great turnout today at 5280, 10x 17.5 TCs, 7x 17.5 1/12, and a handful of F1s. A nice grove was forming when we finished up today.

We are proud to welcome BSR and Jaco as a sponsor for the 2015 Champs, and are pleased to announce that the spec tire for all touring car classes will be Jaco Blues. All touring cars must be on officially marked Jaco tires for any qualifying or main runs. You must purchase these tires at the event, at the cost of $25 per set. You will be allowed 3 sets maximum per class. Tires CANNOT be swapped between classes. Drivers who make the a main will have the option of purchasing a 4th set for the main after qualifying has concluded.

Thanks Mario! That makes sense given they are the current "spec", makes it easy for the club.

Default F1?

Hello everyone, I'm thinking about getting back into carpet racing and I am seriously considering F1. I have a couple of questions, is there a spec tire for the f1 class? And what is the 21.5 motor of choice for this class? And my last question I plan to run at Mohr too if there is enough for a class during the summer series anyone know what tire they will be using?

Glad to hear you are considering F1! The class has been growing steadily lately.

There are no spec tires for F1, That goes for 5280 and MHOR.

At 5280 the Pit Shimizu PS-0571 and PS-0572 seem to be used almost universally, and is the best combo I've used.

At MHOR, I still use the Pit Shimizu on the front, but for the rear I switch to Ride R-1's. It would be great to see more of a turnout for F1 at MHOR this summer, it is a very enjoyable track now that it has been re-done. It was hit-and miss last year as to how many F1's were there.

As for the motor - everyone has their preference, and it seems everyone runs something different. Personally, I have been very happy with the Reedy Sonic Mach II.

I am selling off about 50 sets of Jaco foam tires for 1/12. Listed in the CO FS/FT section. http://www.rctech.net/forum/13855476-post846.html

Hi i stopped bye one evening and several guys talked to me {very helpful thank you}. i noticed this posting from kartrcr38 about f1 class, this class or style of rc really intrigues me, next to vta class but this one seems to be a rare following here in Colorado area or at least at this track. The f1 class next to the vta is were i would like to start my indoor carpet racing as well as outdoor track { i have seen the track at mhor ,nice}. i have a xray t4 that is 90% done for 17.5 , but now i would like to build a f1 so i have the standard questions.
most popular and competitive chasis?
" " " " esc, speed controler
motor
tires, {are they sold at track}
battery
I have most of the other equipment from other rc adventures. Hope to visit with some of you on set up as well, i hope kartrcr38 and others enjoy this class as well. what would be a good day to see some practices or races, and look at cars and ask questions?
thanks for any input.
