The Island Radio Operated Car Club (IROCC) in Victoria BC is pleased to announce its Speed Weekend 2014 Asphalt trophy race this summer. We've had great fun doing this race for the last nine summers, and we're eager to do it again this year. Over the last nine years we've been amazed at the level of racer support we've received from both local and out-of-town racers (averaging 100+ entries per year), and we hope that will continue again this summer!

Hi all,
We had our first club race of the season yesterday. The track is looking sharp! See attached pic.
There are only two remaining opportunities for practice before the event:
Jun 8 Club Race
Jun 22 Club Race
If you are interested in coming over, let me know and I can pick you up from the ferry on Sunday morning. This saves you the vehicle cost on the ferry.
Five weeks and counting.

Hi all,
I've had a few people PM me about tires. As per the last few years, you must bring your own 32 compound tires to the race. We'll mark two sets for you. If you are stuck finding good tires, send me a note as I may be able to help.
PS. We had another club race today and the track is great. We had lots of tight competition throughout the field.
Four weeks and counting....

I'm also going to try and make the June 22nd race. Can that pick up service be extended for me as well?
I do have some questions though. Since I have never owned a nitro touring car, and I have never done the walk on service on the ferries, how concerned should I be about them letting me on with a bottle of fuel? Do I need to pack it differently? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Hey guys,
Ed, no problem. I told JT that I can probably squeeze five of you in my vehicle. It'll be tight but should be doable. If there are more than five then I can get another IROCCer to help as well.
As for the fuel, I would probably just put it in a backpack. As Ryan said, it won't be an issue.
