Default Start a Indoor Off Road Track in Surrey/Langley?

I see lots of the short course truck indoor tracks in USA - but so far none in Langley/Surrey

I don't see any offroad indoor tracks actually.

Is it too hard to get enough racers to make it pay for itself?

Outdoor is good but sun burnt and rain and dust - think has to be a better way?

People tried and went broke or ??

Start a club and dues pay for the rent and track upkeep?

Need 4,000 Sqf or more?

Hobby shop sponsor that has the parts store in the front?

Ideas?

I'm new to the hobby again - had onroad nascar type car back in the day and now am liking offroad way more and got myself 2wd and 4wd buggy and trucks - nitro and electric!

There was an indoor track in Langley briefly; opened in early 2011 and shut down mid 2011... See here: http://www.rctech.net/forum/canadian-r-c-scene/459794-csi-raceway-indoor-off-road-facility.html

Just too hard to make it pay eh?? What a huge track - wow! I see some sct tracks in USA that are just 5,000 sqft so 1/10 scale etc - and its exciting racing!

There is an indoor track in bellingham. So if your serious about racing thats the place to go. There just isn't enough people interested in racing to support a permanent facility in the lower mainland.

Rent is too dang high anywhere near populated areas around here

I have to go checkout a spot that was offered to me in the Aldergrove area, it is supposed have a large enough indoor space for a store and track and lots of outside space for a dirt track .

Brian what's up with this aldergrove track? Might be a good winter project? Outlawrc is in. Might be able to aquire temp use of a race director and timing system also. I'verecently started a petition for an outdoor track in surrey/Langley . I will post in Canadian scene here the link. Also will stop by to visit in next few weeks with a petition poster if alright with you
