If I still had a 2wd short course I would. How about a head to head with each of us running a rental?
No big events this year however. But lots of small ones around town to celebrate GP's 100th anniversary.

OK, third try......
Looking at getting back into racing. Ran 1/10th electric back in the early 90's in Penticton.
Would like to run 1/8th Nitro Buggy. Do lots of guys run in this class? Once I get back into it, probably look at running a second class also.
As I'm in Whitecourt, I'd plan on running in GP and/or Edmonton, the travel is close to the same.
Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Nitro buggy was a little iffy last year. But when there wasn't enough to make a separate class I just raced against either the nitro truggies or the electric buggies. It was still lots of fun.
Not sure how many nitro buggies we're going to have yet for this year. But the more the merrier.
Lazy electric buggy guys anyway. Build yourselves a real race car.

Well, I took the opportunity to ride out to GP last weekend, checked out your hobby store and the track. Was a nice day. Hobby shop is nice and the track looked great.
I have a MBX7 on the way along with a clocked motor and various other items all from Clockwork Racing Engines. Guess I'll be seeing you guys at the track now and then

Hey Guys Nov 2 is our first Indoor race, Just as a reminder please remember that if your going to use the Clairmont Ag Societies tables that you need to bring your own towel. The purpose of the towel is so that no residue, grease, etc is left on the tables. Here is a list of the classes we are running this year.
To help newer racers decide on what chassis to run/what classes to participate in here is a list of typical entries in each:
Tamiya Mini Spec Class: Any Tamiya M-chassis car. Typically the 2 newest kits, the front-wheel drive M-05 and the rear-wheel drive M-06, are by far the most popular.
Touring Car: HPI Sprint 2 is RTR, Team Associated TC4 or TC6, 3racing Sakura Zero S (Turnigy TD10), Team Durango DETC410, XRAY T3 or T4 are all kits.
Mini Open: 1/16 Traxxas Slash/Revo, 1/18 LaTrax Rally, 1/16 Losi Mini 8ight buggy or 8ight-T Truggy.
Novice: Almost anything! 1/10 scale short course trucks are the biggest vehicles allowed, and tires must be proven to be non-damaging to the racing carpet. Bandits, Rustlers, bring it and there is good chance you can race it!
This is not an exhaustive list and there are always unique vehicles showing up. We'd love to see some pan cars, f1 cars and 1/10 scale 2wd buggies!
For full rules for each class please see GPMRA.com.

Just 2 more sleeps until the fire up of our indoor season!!!! Who all is coming and what are you planning on racing?
Tech Rookie
Good turn-out at the last race. Glad to see so much interest in Touring Car. Might have to think about splitting the class into a stock and open motor entries. Thoughts?
Alright everyone with our new season now underway we have some news to bring you guys.
First: for everyone who was not able to make it out we have the entire facility now to use. This means bigger better tracks, better pit area, and more help needed.
Second: We now have Saturdays available for practice 7-10pm. There is a practice fee and if you would like your lap times please bring along a usb stick. Also we need members to show up for setup, we don't want to feel like we have to drag people out to help us out.
Third: Come out and have some fun!!!!
