The best set-up for most guys is two difs with the front dif tighter than the rear dif. A spool and a one way will give you more forward pull because they are locked on power but they have distinct disadvantages for an inexperienced racer. The oneway setup makes braking next to impossible, unless your car is perfect and brake bias is set so brakes wont lock and both the spool and oneway will break more frontend gear if you bang walls because there is no give...lots of $$$in cvd's, arms and front knuckles. Also, both are suited to fast flowing tracks, which most carpet tracks aren't.

Best to use the difs. imho

Default Brushless

Has anyone ever tried a brushless in a 1/12 scale?

I had my novak BL in my 1/12th for a race night, It worked ok. A little too bulky for 1/12th. I dont think it would be a problem running it in Wcics, its 1/12th open.

Here is some info, http://www.edmontonrc.com/dnn/Portal...ontonWCICS.pdf

Go straight up Calgary/Edmonton Trail (103st) into downtown Edmonton. Head north on 109st and turn left on Kingsway ave(Kingsway Garden Mall on your right and AMA on your left if you were to go through the lights instead of turning)...go about 1.5km and look for three big planes on sticks on your right and you are there.

The race info on the previous link needs amending. The racing on Saturday will not start untill 12:00 noon as another group has booked the facility until then.

Yes, and a very well run event, thanks in no small part to the race announcer who kept things moving at a brisk pace, while being firm and pleasant.
