LOL @ Johnny. Don't worry man, there was one person at least who got your post, haha. There is a million Grande Prairie threads in this Canadian section . That's just because neither of the clubs in town have a forum of their own on their website. One day we will, and then we won't have to flood this forum, lol. I did a search and found 10 threads for Grande Prairie, but I think there are more than that still that didn't come up.

Anyhow...back to the topic of racing on-road in Grande Prairie. Are we going to have one last outdoor race this saturday? (weather pending I suppose)
Ooooooh, what's the new venue??? It's bigger?! Awesome!!!

Does this mean that there will be another summer onroad venue for the CanadianRCGP(not sure what to call it yet Dwayne!!)???

Make it happen Ryan!!!!

R, this will be our final home, no more threads being started. Not unless something really important comes up. We have a few ideas for some sweet asphalt tracks next summer. Just have to follow up on the ideas! We do have access to a 20 foot seacan to use as a drivers stand, as well as storage!

Brad, I don't think we're going to race on asphalt again. It gets dark out by about 8:30. With set-up at 6:30, there's nowhere near enough time to run an entire race! Sorry Bud!!!

Our track will be bigger this winter, much bigger! We're aiming for almost the size, if not larger than the asphalt track was this summer!

Anybody interested in buying a bunch of 64p spur gears? I got a pile of them with my new car, but I use 48p. There are about 7-8 of them. All are in really good shape. $20 for the lot.

Having Grande Prairie as a venue for the 2010 series would be great we just need a bigger track our current lot is too small, the club is working on something bigger hopefully permanent. We already have a seacan.

Although I do know that that the number of GP threads have been mentioned in other circles of racing.................and to that, most people that have tried to follow what you guys are doing have found it hard due to all the different listings.

And yes I know its impossible to get a title of a thread changed, been there, tried that......... much like just when you think one has been buried down deep enough by being idle and then someone makes a post on it, then there it is, back again.
its not impossible to change the tittle of a thread , I can do it

Hey Ryan, What would you suggest for a onroad car??? i kinda am interested in them but have not a clue what the classes and such would be. If you could give me a few ideas on what would be the prime thing to purchase that would be great!

Ryan, I would suggest a 1/10 4wd Touring Car, because they are raced year-round on road! The 1/12's would be fun on carpet, but can only be used on carpet, so they end up being a little impractical compared to a touring car.

A lot of people are looking for a shaft drive car because it's "less maintenance" but they really aren't! A belt drive car does not require that much maintenance if the belts are set at the right tension. At wonderland, they have a Tamiya TB-03 kit. It's shaft drive and is quite cheap (can't remember the exact price). If you're looking for something belt drive locally, Wonderland also has an HPI Sprint 2 flux. Just get a 13.5 BL motor for it, and you're racing!

Now of course, everyone knew it was coming... the Xray sales pitch. Yes they are rather expensive, but they really are worth every penny! The materials used in the kit are awesome, and the orange...SWEET! Not to mention, you have some decent help with set-up whenever you need it. If it's not in the included set-up book, just come ask me, I should have an answer for ya!

Hope to see ya come out and tear up some RACING carpet with us this winter!!!
