It is a type of transponder used by the KARZ/TRUKZ club in Calgary. I looked at the one I have and did not see any brand marking.
The system is optically-based and is therefore incompatible with AMB/MYLAPS systems. Its advantage is that it is a lot cheaper (less than half the cost). You mount it under a clear section of the car/truck body (e.g., the windshield) so it has line-of-sight to the sensors that are mounted on a low gantry over the start/finish line.

The signal pick up is infra-red... meaning you have to have it in the car directly under your clear windshield for the lap counting bridge to pick it up. It works well, but no, it's not compatible with the AMB/MYLAPS system.

2017 Xray xb2 buggy
