The current website is at WCICS.sarcarclub.com. There may be some minor (or major!) changes for next season, but this is a good place to start. With any luck your post may get discussion started.

What's going on for weight in TC this year? ROAR bumped down to 1500, so will WCICS do the same?

Last I heard, we'll likely be at 1500 as per roar's new spec.

So is there anyone that has a Rule Book made up yet? Or are we still just not saying anything?

RULE PROPOSAL
MINI CLASS
M-05 TO USE 18T PINION MAX

this is what you have to run in the m-04 in the tcs races
i think it would be needed for the NEW M-05 due to the fact that it has a wayyyy lower centre of gravity and revised suspension, just by looking at the new mini chassis i can guarantee a faster corner speed, keeping the top speed down will help keep the class on a even level
ya i was kinda getting worried about my beloved mini's,,, stocks were depleted everywhere.... :S ahhhhh: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58443 that explains it all

Undecided as yet if the M05 will be an eligible car for this year.
I was just in PM today and they had LOADS of M03 and M04 models, including LOTS of the new Fiat 500.

Stu, will the lipo limit for mini go to 3400? I believe that's the new Tamiya limit.

Colin,
most likely it'll be that, or very close to depending on a couple of manufacturers that also have packs that fit.
it's one of the things we reps have been talking about.

Default Question for the Touring Car racers

I have no plans to run this class this year, ( although we all know how plans can change....)
So, I just wanted to throw out a question to those that will be running it.

Weight limits.
I think we likely all know that ROAR brought it down to 1500 grams this year, which was what WCICS was going to follow.
BUT, the IIC race in Vegas has listed 1425 grams as their limit for Touring Rubber tire class.

SO, just want some feedback please on what the majority would like.
perhaps even if some have already tried and tested both weights that would help us all make an informed choice.

thanks
Stu

I played around with the weights early this year. I can't remember exactly what the weight was but it was right around there. I'd say go ahead if you really want to try but it's not easy to drive when you have to turn right. My car kept rolling because of the weight of the electronics vs battery.

My vote is go with 1500g.

Thanks Scott.

At this point it's either going to be 1500 as we originally decided, or 1425 if enough people really want that.

p.s. New thread for the upcoming 09/10 season coming really soon.
I just want ( if possible) dates and venues from the other clubs ( already have Lethbridge, thanks Tom) before we put all the info down for everyone.
