Just found out I can get up to the track for the afternoon.
Is it a proper race day, or just practice??

Assuming the weather cooperates, is the track going to be open for practice this week?

I should be at the track tomorrow night by 6pm and we should have our first electric night on Wednesday. The weather is looking fine for the next couple of days and should be good to go.

excellent racing tonight !
if anyone has any ideas for tires though, I'd love to hear them.
I just could not find any rear grip on my 2wd buggy and 2wd Short Course.

Also, I left my purple and black bag under the pit tables (Evans)
anyone happen to see, or pick it up??
thanks

Thanks to everyone that come out last night and made five heats, 2 qualification rounds and the A-Mains! For the first electric night of the year there was a
great turnout and an extremely fun time. I can not wait to do it again.

My favorite race was the 1/10th scale open. With only three racers I initially thought that it was going to be fairly tame. However, the first corner
turned into mayhem causing all kinds of excitement! Everyone competing in this race had the lead at some point and also was on their lids giving the lead away. Even some
line blocking occurred causing the the guys trying to pass to try and make their vehicles really small!

I think with the amount of qualification rounds we ran and time we should be able to speed up the race time in the future possible even get another qualification round. We will need to do a few things to make this happen:

1) Race Starts Exactly at 6:30, if you are late then you will be added to the next round

2) Track needs to be completely soaked and hoses rolled up by 6:20

3) We should set a timer of three minutes between rounds. Since most people want to run to the pits to charge, maybe we bring power to the pits and charge your batteries there.

4) Other idea are welcome

Please remember, when you are in an accident or accidentally pop out of the race lanes you need to re-enter near where you exited. There was one case last night
where the person was in an accident and decided that they should skip 5 jumps and two corners to get back into the top 5. This is called short tracking and is not allowed. There will be no warnings for this offence only a penalty in the future. You will be called into the pits and asked to stop UNTIL the person that was behind you passes pits. I harsh sentence for a bad decision.

Also, the marshals are out on the track flipping your vehicle over because you made a mistake. Don't yell at them, they see your vehicle and will get to it when it SAFE for them to do so.

Great time last night to our first night of the season, having Blaine on the mic made things a lot more interesting as he got right in to it with the racing. Going forward to prevent running too late like last night as we do have some youngsters racing is we have a cut off of 6:30pm and we’re running. For the time we were out there last night for we should have been able to do 3 qualifiers and the main. Looked like everyone had fun last night and I’m looking forward to the rest of the summer.

Thanks
Mark

The track handled all the water pretty good, as long as we dont get a large amount of rain tomorrow we should be good for racing saturday. I will post up tomorrow if we will be having a work day to move water, right now the track is ok.

Looks like Larry forgot to post up here. Here's what he posted on facebook.
'Track status.
There is a little more water to move. Track surface right now we would not be able to run on it, the sun is out high of 19 today with showers mid afternoon. We would not be able to run on the track until 10:30 - 11 at best.
I think the best thing to do is run tomorrow, we might not be any better off tomorrow if it rains today.

Racing is postponed to tomorrow, we do need to move some water today if guys can help please call me. 402-554-1369'

We had alot of rain in the north east today. Based on that I assume that the track will be very wet. I have not actually been there though. Hopefully someone will post once they have seen it.
