Great to hear I'm looking forward to that Leg of the series. It'll be about a 10 hour drive to get there from Calgary (or so I've been told), but it should be an awesome time. Thanks to the CORCS directors for getting all of the final details for 2008 put into place. It is greatly appreciated

I'm assuming the CORCS website will be updated with this info in the not-so-distant future. Gotta get those reggies in! lol

Thanks very much guys for considering us in the series and we will be sure to put our everything into this race.

From Edmonton following the speed limits (unlike some of us) it would take approx. 4 hours. 5.5 from Red Deer and about 7 from Calgary.

Yes, and it's 99% 4 lane highway all the way from Calgary to Grande Prairie now, so the drive isn't all that bad.

I am very excited that we've been given the opportunity to host leg 2 of the CORCS series! Thanks to all the CORCS directors who voted for Grande Prairie. We'll do our best to make it a good time for all!

Yes, we are very excited to have a CORCS race here in Grande Prairie! Grande Prairie is a 450km drive from Edmonton. We hope everyone will like our track, and if I get my way we might have a couple unique features that are will make things a bit more interesting (euro style, hehe).
I hope it doesn't rain.

Oh trust me.. if we were running this weekend half of the clubs members would be out there with bobcats and snowblowers to clean it off.. They are already thinking about doing it considering most of them wanna run on dirt. (talk about hardcore?)

Ive done that drive alot myself my parents live in Ft. St. John which is another 2hrs farther than Grand Prairie. Ten over the speed limit will get you there about in 6.5 to 7hrs.

Absolutely cannot wait to see all you out of towners up here.
But Holy C### do we have alot of work to do before then. Very happy to see it wasn't the first race other wise chances of track prep with a snowblower are pretty good.
Expect this to be the best race of the series guys (and gals).

This club completely rebuilt the track by June last year, imagine what we can do with this kind of solid starting point.

Its only a 45 minute drive for me, the only part thats is single lane is through the reservation untill crooked creek about 30km.
FYI come through valleyview before 10am and the highways will be RCMP free, 130km'h is the usual speed of traffic.

So since 3 of the 4 races are on non long weekends, are we going with the best 2 out of 4 races then?
