I had pretty good luck on the carpet with CS22's, CS27's, and the Sorex 28's. Red or green inserts like Chris said. Sometimes I ran harder inserts in the front tires if there was too much grip.
Relatively soft suspension too. Actually, on my HB Cyclone, the setup isn't way different from how the car is set up for asphalt. Just some stiffer oil and slight tweaks on the roll center.
