Exclamation Novice

NOVICE = 1st year drivers
TC type chassis open to all full bodies (full = covers all the wheels and chassis)
6 cell packs (NO lipo)
Here's my take on NOVICE... they go too fast for most of the drivers i have seen. I would LOVE to make it a rule for 4 cell / 27T, but i wont (yet). This is a class where the new RCer is supposed to learn about the hobby. Not just driving and crashing lap after lap but, learn proper racing lines, how to and, not too pass or be passed, how to setup a car and do repairs needed. Charge batteries etc. Teach them how to marshal and be on time! I understand that we want it to be fun... for sure i agree but i dont see the fun in breaking every heat.
That said (and its only my opinion)...

MOTORS....
I would like to see ALL novice's run a 27T ROAR stamped motor. I would like to see the 27T marking on the comm. , also will be looking for bushings.

I have been questioned on the use of brushless stocks for NOVICE. I have thought about this and will decide after i get a little input. I wish to hear from the people WHO know the +/- on this subject. I would prefer you private message me or email me your thoughts. DO NOT fill this thread please. A final desission will be made by MARCH 1 2007.

If doug wants to come to this event he is more than welcome. BUT I am the overall RD. I was going to be on the mic as well but hey... i'd love the time to race too.

where's all the pre-regi's

4 cells and a 27t motor sounds like a good rule for novice

i dont think the 4 cell thing is cool..... why not just help them by limiting thier throttle..... i just would not want to de soilder my batts etc I understand the reasoning behind it but I think it makes more sense to race the cars as they will in stock. I hope it remains as is ....
