I'm in ....
it should be spec tire and spec sauce.

Flexible boards to eliminate breakages

I agree with the Tire and Sauce suggestion, just need more details on finding the proper type of boards. Any ideas?

actually any small boards would work as long as the boards dont define the line that can be done with dots. the boards are only to keep cars from crossing onto traffic. maybe 2x3 set flat so cars are visible.

Some elevation changes would be nice, and boards made out of something soft like rubber.

Indoor OVAL racing would be awsome.

Soft rubber? I think soft rubber would be a bad choice. That will cause broken cars for sure! Rain gutters with velcro underneath holds the layout well. It also allows the gutters to move a bit upon hard impact. Dots and flappers work well for the corners.

Very good suggestion. I've seen those used with success.
Note: This track will be for beginner and well as experienced drivers so what ever is used, needs to suit both types of drivers.

I'll have to check into what ROAR suggest on size or type of lane division. Not saying this will be a "ROAR" track, just that they do have many rules and regulations that make sense.

Could be possible in the future, if enough oval racers participate. Probably start with a few basic on-road classes to see how things pan out.

Hoping to be able to convert from on-road to off-road by changing the surface and adding various jumps and elevation adjustments once things are established.
