Please join us this Saturday October 19, 2013 @ Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus, CA for round #8 the finals of the JBRL electric series! The track will be available for practice on Friday October 18th from 10am to 6pm for FREE. On Saturday morning the gates will open at 6am, there will be practice from 6am to 8am, drivers meeting at 8am and racing begins at 8:30am. Remember that motorhomes and trailers are NOT allowed at Hot Rod Hobbies due to our very limited parking situation. The tires of choice are any blue groove tire and compound. Proline MX Suburb, J-Concepts Orange Barcodes or Losi Red BK Bars are a few options. Hot Rod Hobbies will have plenty on hand to purchase at a special discounted price. The JBRL crew will be on hand Friday for a few hours setting up and taking pre entries. The Hot Rod Hobbies crew have put in a lot of time and effort preparing the track for our JBRL racers and for that we thank them! The forecast calls for high 70's/low 80's for both Friday and Saturday so it should be a pleasant weather weekend! Hot Rod Hobbies is an amazing track so we hope to see all of you out to support one of Southern California's best facilities! See you all this weekend!!!

The JBRL is now accepting sponsorship inquiries for our 2014 season!!! 2013 was a very successful season and we look forward to an even bigger year in 2014!!! If you are interested in sponsoring the JBRL electric and or nitro series please feel free to email Jimmy at [email protected]. We will send you a sponsorship proposal that outlines the various levels of sponsorship. Looking good Jimmy! Any rules in regards to making and running slicks or not running slicks or is it going to be open?

Trying to get the boys out for 2014...

I am obviously not Jimmy but I don't think he has ever dictated tire restrictions in the past.

What track are you concerned about?

Hey Josh, we observe all track rules when it comes to tires and sause. If a particular track has a rule then we must follow it but if the track has no rules pertaining to tires than anything can be run! Hope to see you out this year!!! It gnna be a great season!

Have you drove with slicks at coyote hobbies; do they work good?

I ran treads and Casper ran slicks on our 22-4's this past week and they both worked well. I had fast lap in the main but he did get fast lap in practice.

I think a lot of it will depend how fast they get their misting system timing down to keep the track in tip top shape.

I don't feel they are necessary but if you have some, bring them. One caveat is you CANNOT make slicks at Coyote. They do not allow grinding of tires there so you either need panther slicks or to make them elsewhere.
