Yeah I loved breakaway. Bought my first car there, the Tamiya Hornet in 87/88. The place had this awesome smell of silicone diff grease and rubber tires that I still remember clearly today. The track in the back of the shop had full pit tables with power, a nice drivers stand with shade and the dirt was the classic hard dusty stuff of yesteryear. I sure had a lot of fun there.
Hopefully soon we will get a track back in the corona/norco area.

I had the worst luck at MnM. At the time I was running RC10's with the super weak factory ballcups, the pipes at MnM weren't in any way forgiving to them
The Ranch had nice mellow curbs that rarely caused any breakage. If it was dusty it was because you tried running there during the day, bad idea. At night it held the moisture better. I was on the track crew, every round we would rake, roll and water the entire track. I don't remember how many of us there were but we could get it done in less than 10 min.
I have an old VHS tape of a club race night at the Ranch. Yay nostalgia!
I remember Breakaway too, used to run there also.

Jeez all I said was "RB came off sounding bitter"
I'll give him the benfit of the doubt. Lets drop the OC vs. IE thing, I'm over it.

TQRC Carpet Track
I think they chose redland because it is the best location as far being away from the other IE tracks and still 45mins from wcrc...Redlands was a good choice location
maybe one track should go carpet offroad...Can be really good if done right, like the europeans...I havene never seen any good pics of carpet offroad tracks in the US? Just a thought to keep both tracks going

TQRC Racing in Chino, a 90x 41 indoor on road CRC high bite carpet track experimented w/ the is off road carpet concept sometime in Oct.2011. The owner Sean installed makeshift ramps but the surface remained the same. It fizzled out due to a lack of racers. Go to tqrcracing.com, forums, rc videos, #42. Me and my 6 year old son have been on road(sedan, F1) racers since late 2010 and would occasionally dip into SC2wd at Pegasus. It wpuld help if racers from the off road community would support this track in order to make carpet off road happen. Thanks.

man wow remembering the good o'l days...!!!....LOL
hey here's one.....
remember when everyone hit K&M in the mornings !!do up the races
and jet over to the Ranch later in the day !!!!
who says 2 tracks can not do it........LOL
was just remembering that....????
was kinda cool cause cause by the time the begining mains were done
even the later mains over at K&M
you still got "Enough time" for practice and race at the Ranch ...!!!!!
oh but wait that was when batteries only lasted 4 minutes !!!
if you were lucky....LOL
so thinking? and i am betting the other owners may have already?
maybe they will do the same...???
be fun ..........
ok maybe not cost effective for some, as times are kinda rough????
but it sure was fun !!!!!!
but that was then......
anyways, "I am Glad" to hear some tracks are "Back"

Outlaw was a blast, I used to race my gold pan rc10 there. My first race ever was there and I won the B-main in a borrowed tamiya blackfoot.Lucky if you could get 5 minutes out of battery pack back then. Also remember going to RCRC indoor track in riverside run by the Reed family.(I thing it was off of La Sierra) Its been a while so those momories are vague.

Rcrc is the first track I started racing at with my jrx2 I was 9 then and 31 now still loving every minute of playing with my toy cars in a sense.
