2012 SOCAL SPRING SERIES- LRH Hobbies/THE YARD RC
#17
The track is wet right now, but we will work thru the night to dry it out. WE ARE STILL RACING SUNDAY. I REPEAT WE WILL RACE SUNDAY!! Tires will be crucial here. Calibers, City Blocks, Crime Fighters, and I Beams work the best. Medium compound if you want them to last! Pins also work if you can stay in the race line, Gridirons, Holeshots, and such. I am really excited and hope to make it fun for everyone.

Let me just say WOW!!! what a great day of racing! The first spring series between the YARD and LRH hobbies got up to a great start!!
First race was yesterday and it was hosted by Mario at the YARD!!!
Mario did a great job with the new layout and let me just say that it was great to see all the people having a great time.
We had 5 mains and 2 quals. gas and electric.
Also MArio worked his skills as grill master and we all got some very Yummy burgers!!! thanks Bud
Ok now lets get ready for round 2 of the series. this time it will be hosted at LRH indoor electric only so let's get ready people, we have 2 weeks to get all those Lipos ready and fully charged.
We will be adding the points from yesterday's race so the champions of the Electric classes and well as nitro classes will get a trophy for the top three of each class at the end of the series.
So Saturday April 28th is the 2nd round at LRH hobbies (electric only)
We will have free BBQ for all racers
Looking forward to see you there
And once again thanks to Mario from THE YARD!! for doing such a great job at hosting the first race of the series
See you all on the 28th!!!

Series Race
As a suggestion,
I would reconsider the dates of the series since the next round is the same date as the Stock Nationals at OCRC and the next two are on the same dates as Round 3 and round 4 of the JBRL electric series. just saying 2 of them are local.
Also the transponders are an issue since 90 percent of racers dont want to bother with a new transponder since they already have the AMB units, I know it cost alot to change over but I think in the long run it will be worth it.
I hope it works out for both tracks.

The transponders situation, to your point, they are expensive and at this point we already have the i-laps system so we will be providing that for now but eventually we will upgrade to AMB for sure
Thanks for the support
