I will get some and post them in the next few days. As far as watering we will need a VERY good plan to keep things running smoothly and keep the track consitant from heat to heat. Dust is an issue with Giant RV and one we need to control. Sweeping and picking up the loose stuff the night before will help. This is something we will need to discuss with Jimmy on how to best handle.

It is not up to Jimmy on how the track is maintained. Do what you guys feel is right. You guys have been playing out there the most. Talk with Tom and see who is going to be responsible for track maintaince duties and stick to a plan.

casper i will direct this towards you since you commented last, but they have already commited to watering, what there gonna discuse with jimmy is the maint portion of it,sweeping or getting pebbles etc off the track and how often, but the track will be ran wet, giant rv has already expressed they dont want the dust..

Has Peg ever tried a water nozzle like this:

It can put water down very consistently with alot of control.

I guess my point is they can tell jimmy what they want to do and assuming we can keep the races going Jimmy will be fine with most anything. He has always stated track maintaince is up to the track/club. They know best.

i race at peg every weekend and i will talk to the guys and see if this will work.
but from the looks of it, it might take a little longer to water the track with the nozzle

metalracer2- It only costs like $3 bucks. I thought it was dumb the first time I tried it but it puts out more water than one might think in a really nice fan pattern. I've over the years have tried 15 or 20 different nozzles from the gun style to a fire hose style and I think it would be perfect for Peg.

Just go buy one for them at some home store. You guys won't be disappointed.

No to "soaking the track trev, it will just crack when it dries over night...... We will be having a "work party on Fri. to make the track as good as possible and we won't want to ruin it by laying down too much water. It has happened a few times already on this layout , I know because I tried that and that is what some of the holes we need to patch were formed from. James is ltaking suggestions and laying down some pretty srtict maitainence rules we are going to stick to and abide by so we can have a consistant track not just for JBRL but for our race program itself. This is going to be what makes our program a huge TEAM effort and not a "I want to do it my way" type of deal any longer........
