I am going for it guys! I will go the City of HB tomorrow and file for my occupancy permit:-)
Do any of you guys know someone that may have the ability to remove and relocate the So-Cal raceway dirt?
Or the name of a company I can hire?

RE: Rubber mats on the pits...

I wouldn't be opposed to Up-Grade R/C" donating 225 pit mats to be glued down to each spot:-)

Nice, i was thinking more like the ones the restaraunt industry uses but that works as well! By the way i ment on the floor, not the tables. Although those would definately need a redo as well. Maybe a new place is better!

I agree with Casper, Plus, If you have clay its totally different than anything else in the area. The SoCal dirt is ready to go too.

Robert, I just want to re-state how much I and I am sure I speak for others when I say all of your efforts are HUGELY APPRECIATED. Thank you for looking to make a place for us to race. I hope we get a club type environment going so we can all pitch in to take care of the place. All of us are capable of building, painting, cleaning, whatever you need. So, again if you need anything from me, call me 714-317-6171. Ryan Dunford.

I just looked at the polls this morning and saw how more people are leaning towards the old So Cal location. Personally, the only reason I would like to see it come back to life is the on road track. I race both offroad and onroad, so it's bennificial to me. The new H.B. location sounds good, considering it is about two minuts from my house. I think whatever is done, it would be the best thing to happen around here in a long time, as far as rc tracks go.

You know, if you posted this poll in the racing forum, I'm pretty sure the original socal will win hands down. I'm sure there's plenty of on-road racers unaware of this vote.

Default parking?

RB, how is the parking at the Oceanus site?
Looking at the aerial photo it doesn't look to good.

What about JBRL type events? That takes alot of parking.
Some of the larger races even cut into the week days.

Good Luck buddy. Your my new best friend!

Looks like the Oceanus Location in HB might be secured today. Off-Road only so sorry about that DeskWarmer. Honestly, On-Road turnouts at SoCal really dropped off at the end their and it really wasn't profitable.
More info later today on a confirmed location. Damn, then I need to update the website

Get new dirt. Socal's dirt was not very good, what made it good was the racing and drivers. It was dusty and dented real easy. Dirt like MNM or other places is better. Since you have time to start fresh, might as well get the best you can and not settle.
