Racing this Sunday?
I have just confirmed that 11 out of the 13 guys who help set up and tear down the track last Sunday will be at the KO PROPO Grand Prix event this coming weekend and will not be attending BendingCorners"Carpet"Raceway. Due to this event being scheduled prior to the opening of BendingCorners I have been asked to NOT open the track on Sunday September 10th due to a very low turn-out and insufficent help to make the set up and tear down worth while.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RUN THIS SUNDAY 9/10/06 PLEASE POST HERE AND COMMIT TO SETTING UP AND TEARING DOWN THE TRACK. Set up will start at 9:00am and tear down will begin at 6pm. Please, let me know ASAP to make a decision.
Thanks

is 9/10 going to be a practice session or race day? I know that there will be outdoor racing this coming Sunday. I am hoping that different tracks will work with each other on scheduling since I like to see more tracks available in different days/times so we get more racing action.

9/10, Do I smell an oval race? Or a tc and oval race?

Rafael,
The following week is there anyway we can have 2 days of carpet . Saturday practice, sunday race.

If the Sunday race next, next weekend was later in the day that would be perfect becasue the final Babcock series race is that morning/afternoon... if not then Saturday practice it is
As far as asphault vs carpet setup goes I had my car setup for the KO race... all I did was swap the spool for a 1 way and the thing was stuck!

I have to say that carpet racing is ding-dong-dittilly dialed. Raffell, dude you did a GREAT job putting that together. I'm sure very few know how much trouble that was putting the whole thing together. The extra time spent researching paid off. The carpet held up great and had great traction and the boards stayed put. You had to really slam into one to get it to move. The boards were real easy on cars too. I think only one guy broke something.
I had a blast. Looking forward to the next race. Unfortunately, with the KO and the IIC race are this month, turnouts may be light for the first few races, but it's on after that. Everybody I talked to liked it a lot. Hope we can keep this going for a while. Also, I'll help setup and tear down at any race I can make it to. I am at KO this weekend too though

Help setting up track!
Hey Rafael,
Timmy and me are willing to help out setting up the track! We definitely would like to run again this coming weekend!
Hopefully you'll have enough confirmed to open the track!
Max!
P.S. Did you see the pictures somebody posted of the track on Monday? They got me and Timmy running! We both had the same t-shirts on, so I'm the one on the right!

I'm actually planning on going to Tucson Arizona all day saturday to run on their famous carpet track. Although, I will be back in time for your Sunday carpet track. So please count me in for helping out with the track also.
Thanks, Chris
