Default Stay Away: The Rocket

Ron Anderson, aka The Rocket, seems to have stiffed a whole slough of rctech.net users, for a fair amount of cash. His mode of operation is PAyPal only, he gets your payment, then never responds again, and never sends your item.

If you are waiting for something from him, file a claim/fraud report with PayPal immediately. There are at least 5 deals gone sour that I can count:

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=75669
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=73318
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=75670
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=75668
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=75857

...and more that seemed to have not gone very smoothly. If you are waiting for items, don't hesitate and file a claim immediately to get PayPal on the case. One time is an accident, 5 is a pattern. This guy needs to step up and follow through, or he needs to pay for his actions.

Don't let people like this get away with this sort of thing.

It looks like he has gotten 6 or 7 of us now (at least), and the total amount of the money he has taken is enough for a Class 4 Felony here in Illinois, and over state borders is even a bigger deal. This guy is in trouble.

Someone posted his PayPal listed number as: 661-330-3131 (phone number is a California phone number: California: N Los Angeles, Mckittrick, Mojave, Newhall, Oildale, Palmdal, Taft, Tehachapi, Bakersfield, Earlimart, Lancaster)

Someone has to know this guy and where he is from. Other searches on his posts show he was moving, and I'm hoping his phone, e-mail and mailing addresses are not empty.

His eBay sales also showed seller locations as recent as June 21st from Omaha, Nebraska. He is no longer a Registered User. Great.

I heard back from the guy I PMd. He confirmed that it is the right phone number (even the number is California based, he kept the number when he moved to NE). A voicemail was left by this buddy to hopefully help.

Thanks

tim

Also --

I've gone through his latest Ebay feedback and have sent emails to everyone he did transactions with. I'm hoping one of them has more information on him. I'll post if I hear back.

Default charge back?

Have any of you done a "chargeback" on paypal? Can't you do that to get your money back? I've done it before and it takes a while, but I won the case!

I just emailed pay pal to file claim. They held up his money and I had the charger within 2 days. Someway, they are able to hold up money for a long time. It was almost 2 weeks when I filed the claim and they still held his money up. He PM'd me the next day and said that his girlfriend kicked him out and that he would send the charger overnight. It's funny that all the voicemails, emails, and PM's that I sent wasn't going to reach him, but when I held his money up, all of a sudden he came back to life. It ended up costing him about $20 more by sending it over night!
I think that he thought he was moving and nobody would be able to track him down once he moved. What a jack***.

So how many of us are there?

I'm not confident PayPal can do anything -- if he's already taken the money out of his PayPal account, they can do very little.

If you got ripped off by this guy, can your either reply here or pm/email me. I'd like to get a listing because I think we're going to have to go to the cops. More money he's stolen will mean more leverage.

Thanks
