Default Poor experience with marshallsbbq

I bought a sedan from this member and sent payment right away as agreed on May 21st. A week later, and with no tracking, I sent a PM asking for a refund at which point he finally decides to ship.

The package arrived yesterday and when opened, I was shocked to find that there was no packing of any kind to protect the chassis. He had also removed and kept all the steel turnbuckles which just isn't right. He did include the red aluminum turnbuckles, and made it sound like he was doing me a favor, but removing and keeping the steel ones wasn't part of our deal. Basically, he stole parts off the car before shipping. I took a picture of what I received immediately after opening the box.

One of the rear CVD's was loose in the box. The wheel nut, wheel hex and axle pin were nowhere to be found and likely fell out of the box during shipping. I'm fortunate that the CVD didn't fall out as well.

I'm happy that I finally received something, but upset that it took over a week to ship, upset that he didn't pack the chassis properly and upset that he removed and kept parts. I would not recommend this seller.

Request refund through paypal unless the car is something you really want. Also if you ship back throw some buble wrap in there even tho it didnt break when he shipped like that if it breaks on way back technically payPAL CUD DOCK U FOR DAMAGE.

You can tell by looking at the box how much the car was banging around in it.

I would be pissed.

parts removed and replaced without notice, parts missing on arrival, craptastic packaging...negative feedback, IMO. He could try and dispute it but I would be hard to convince.

I could leave negative feedback, but that would only result in him leaving retaliatory negative feedback of his own. I've gone through PP to request a partial refund so I can replace the missing parts myself.

Can't the mods or someone help if he leaves you a neg feedback as retaliation?

I sent him a PM minutes after opening and checking out the chassis, but as has been typical with this seller there was and has been no response.

As I'm going through the chassis I'm finding seized bearings and stripped plastics that will all need to be replaced.

That sucks, but you know if I were you send that terd back get a refund and www.superiorhobbies.com has the R1 brand new for $290 and you can find discount codes online through rctech and get it for just a little more brand new in the box, no turnbuckles or parts stolen off it.

I had a call from PayPal today to say that the seller has finally agreed to issue the partial refund I had requested. It took much longer than I had hoped for, but I finally have resolved this issue. My opinion of this seller however remains unchanged and I would not recommend anyone do business with him ever.

Leave feedback so people are aware. Might help someone out or it might make him go the extra mile for his other sales to make up for it.
