Oooo, er. . . . the AARCMCC mafia.

Seriously, though, this forum is viewable by the whole world.
If I were IFMAR, I would not be pleased to see a representative of my Australian affiliate bullying the local racers.

In sparksy's parlance, this would be termed "Conduct unbecoming an officer"

Trust me, I'm not going to get into a debate about how good or bad your track/club is because I haven't raced there...yet.

But...

If you as drivers really think you have what it takes, then buy yourself an Eigth Scale On Road Car, this is the only kit and motor you can buy out of a box already modified to the extreme, if you all think you are that good, then proove it, Everything anyone wants in RC Racing is available in Eigth Scale, so how come all these champions aren't racing it, SIMPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT AS CAPABLE AS THEY THINK
You have to be kidding. Regardless of how good they are or how good they think they are, the reason why they aren't racing 1/8th scale is because of the COST!

Something for us all to consider though,
The position of secratery in any club can be a thankless and tedious task at the best of times.
If anyone felt passionately enough they would volunteer for the position themselves.
Unless that happens, as a certain current secretary stated, things have been and will stay as they are untill the end of time !!

I don't know how many hundreds of thousands you make each year, or who sponsors you for that matter. But i sure as hell know that i can barely afford my NT!! 1/8th scale is just out of the question. As for people who think they are better than they really are, I am a fairly new racer having started in march. I was lucky enough to have an Aussie titles held in my own backyard and had a ball. I qualified in 16th and finished in 13th, now i'm not sure how you look at a result like that but i was pretty bloody happy. GUESS WHAT, I'M FROM A CARPARK TRACK! It seems to me you are missing the point of RC racing, the day this is no longer fun for you, me or the first day racer, that's the day we all might as well pack it in.
JordanC you should be happy with a result like that, if it's the last Nationals you are talking about, then it is a great result, especially since no finals were run, but however I'll look up the results to see who you were, the field was within 2 seconds of each other up to 30th position, so DAMN GOOD EFFORT.

As for you point about 1/8th scale, what has my Income got to do with you buying an Eigth Scale, and secondly, if you can't afford one, why are you telling me????????????????

Oh, agreed 100%.
I just don't believe that a voluntary position justifies rudeness.

Ya see, it's that last line with the 21 question marks that's offensive -
or at least just unnecessary.

The things that bother me? - I would tender the following examples.

The reason there is so much differance between drivers is knowledge, not ability, a lot of you have great ability, but no idea on how to set up your car.
= Insulting.

Most of you make comments about the type of Racing at Moorebank. It's not going to change, we have a PURPOSE, and if you don't agree with what our purpose is, that's fine, there are other clubs available for you, and after you join that club, and hopefully become a proficient driver, you may then like the way we run our club.
= Presumptuous and insulting.

This may be my last comment for a couple more months . .
= This was a fib, unfortunately.

And Tomas, don't make comments unless you know what you are talking about, and any further comments such as the "Short Greek Guy" or "If you don't like the Prez" better stop, or your attendance at our club will stop.
= Threatening.

Lets Face it Guys it is the same people making stupid remarks, people supposedly at the helm of other clubs, this is the only problem we have, possibly jealousy, hope not, possibly ignorance, most definately.
= Supercilious and insulting.

So for all of you that feel that it is necessary to comment on JGIR, well I put you on notice that this will no longer go on without a backlash.
= Threatening.

I'm enjoying this, again the remarks come from the experts, the GURU's, the guardians of the wall.
Oh, now I get it. It appears that your interest is not so much in the content as the opportunity for a stoush.
