True followers of Bling do not need reminding to buy the best car on the market, from the growth of Tamiya's around the local tracks it is clear to see Tamiya Love is well and truly alive.

Troy the gods of RC realise that you are just having a short affair away from Tamiya, by the pic in your sig, it is clear that you are still a true believer.

[QUOTE=Besercoe] from the growth of Tamiya's around the local tracks it is QUOTE]

An interesting side note to this is the mix of cars in the stock A at the Sydney GP, from memory i think there were

3 x Xrays
1 x Yokomo
2 x Cyclones
4 x RDX's.

That would have to be the first time in a long long time Xray hasnt dominated the numbers in stock at a bigger event.

The variaty of different types of cars is what attracted me to OnRoad in the first place.

Let's see in the Oran Park meeting the Stock A consitied of:
X-Ray
Tamiya
OB-4 (I think that's the maker)
Yokomo
HPI

PLaced my Pre Oder with my LHS. Hopefully I don't end up waiting months for my new X-ray this time.

i know this may stir the poot, but how many of you with fk05's will actually buy the new model, and if so why ? is there a huge performance increase apart from the chassis flexing etc

steve

the main benefits are:
-chassis flex options
-lower cg
-revised spur gear removal
-battery layout on chassis designed for new gen cells
-revised roll centre arm holders
-new generation plateform. so all the revisions will be done on the T2 platform. it's like when holden or ford redesigns from the chassis up it's a brand new car

I'm not driving the FK05 but an old Evo2 with pivot ball ( it's probaly a T1, I wouldn't know ). But it makes sense to up grade to a new chassis for me. But yeah I'd be pissed if you just brought a new FK05, and your one of those guys that have to have the lastest chassis. It makes some of them faster didn't you know that.

Its about time X Ray caught up with the other brands, but I will miss all the fun of watching 05 X Ray owners stripping their cars to change a spur gear

3 x Xrays
1 x Yokomo
2 x Cyclones
4 x RDX's.
And the Yok was the first unsponsered car home

Thats why I p1ssed off the xray spur and used a Robinson Racing spur on the FK05 and havent looked back since..... Obviously the Robinson Racing Spur required an extra couple of holes drilled to line up with the spur plate screw holes.
