Sorry wannabe racer that motor is classed as modified.. its 20 turns which means higher rpm=faster flatout speed. A stock "540 silver can motor costs around $20 or less.. lots of fun to be had with those motors.I know i put them in boats go great.. Not the fastest motor around but a good work horse for not many $$ A good stock motor (27 turns) will set you back anywhere from $39.00 and up EG Monster Stock costs $65 there abouts.. But the main thing is wannabe racer is to come down and have some fun, dont worry about coming 1st. Getting around the track is fun enough

lol, i remember when i first started off, i was thrown in the deep end with Group 20, it was fun but you do really need to start off at the bottom and work your way up, its good being the fastest on the straight, but if you can get around that first corner theres no point

im gonna have to start thinking about getting the cars out for the first time in 2 months lol

ok, second try this is wat the label says on the motor:

(top)Mabuchi RS-540 motor
SPORT TUNED
(right at the bottom after some japanese):Tamiya Plastic Model co.

The other motor i had (epic 7x1)Got run over by a 4wd along with my first bandit

and does anybody know how to wind motors, coz im thinking of getting some cheapo 540s and making them a bit faster so i can save some money on that, and do some for my little bro

Have tried rewinding arms before its not worth the trouble, there's are precise art in doing it & then the arm has to be epoxy-ed & balanced If you have the Mabuchi bring it, You can race anything on club days, But you really need legal motor eg Johnson 540 silver can non rebuildable, try your LHS, Mac's hobby link, F1 toys, Racing line, Or just buy a rebuildable 27t stock motor, monster stock or Orion Core
