I know it's another shameless plug, but just so you guys know....

RD Logics is now selling the Swift RTR under the banner of the 'SHO' buggy. It's quite well specced and comes with everything except the batteries for the radio/glow starter and no fuel of course.

For $495 RTR with an 8kg steering servo and other goodies, I think it's a great way to get into 1/8th buggies. Check it out at www.rcgear.com.au if you want.

The full spares list will be on the website shortly and I know he stocks a bunch of common bits for it as well.

my rear wheels are full of mud, not just inside the rims, but when you squeeze the tires, mud oozes out of the air holes in the rims. they are a lot heavier than they were this morning. i'll be pulling them apart to clean them out. i'll probably need new foam inserts too.

i used the high pressure nozzle on the hose to clean it then ran a half tank through before stripping the whole thing down & cleaning in the hard to get places & lubing things up. i hope next weekend is a bit dryer. i didn't really enjoy cleaning it today. dust is much better, just brush it off. that muddy clay is terrible.

Yep, my 600 is filthy too but I'm not going to strip it down. Will have the get the high pressure hose on to it next weekend. Roads were wet and slippery, also very windy and gusty. Still managed to get up to the ton down near Milang and had 6000rpm to go.

Hi Vortex, I went and had a look at the local shop before i came down. These things look awesome ! There is now doubt i will end up with some thing, but our second child is due soon, so time is of the essance.Pity it was so cold yesterday, would have liked to have stayed around longer for a watch.I am leaning towards a RTR kit, as i don't have the time to assemble, paint & prepare a buggy/truck

Paul,

i'd like to see the video footage you shot yesterday, pitty you missed my cartwheel, but there'll be plenty more of them i'm sure.

Jim Beam, check out the rex x pro for a pretty good rtr that's great value for money. i looked into these for one of my friends, the parts are cheap for replacements too. i know SA hobby centre & model flight have the standard rex x in stock, not sure about the pro though. i know the shop in town usually has the pro in stock, but last time i was there they had sold out though. they are selling heaps of them, if only they'd all come down to the one spot at the same time.

the more the merrier.
