I used Alycat years ago old version and I am a part of a club that uses it, because off all the bells and whistles that has been developed for so many clubs around the world to suit their racing my advice is go into the preferances and turn off all but the basic ones you require and slowly add extra only if you need them.
The guy who runs our club after he had the program the way he liked it he then saved the preferance file else where so if you have any problems you just start it fresh reinstall the saved preferance file and away you go.
Also with the problem as long as it is registered copy if you send the file that went wrong Ken normally goes throuh it and lets you know what went wrong, the back up I had from Ken when I ran it was the best and he is Aussie.

we have been looking for one as well, i think we may have found one via the guy that looks after the tri series timing.
ill ask around and see what i can find for you.
what is the main glitch your having?
we were having problems with noise feedback from the loop not picking cars up, so we grounded the genset(no power at the track) and grounded the decoder which eliminated almost all the noise and it is picking up the cars a lot better now.

Have you looked around at more than just Alycat?, I found it more complex with a few limitations not present in RCM Ultimate.

The RCM software is likely the most reliable and widely used system in the world.
