Put it this way, the LST is imported and distributed by model flight (local adelaide business), you will never have parts issues with this car. they are basically gaurenteed to have ANY spare you want for the car in stock at any time.
Who imports the Revo? Someone interstate no doubt, which means harder to get parts and ask for help with the car...
Just my take on it

I checked out Hobby Habit, they have an OFNA dominator extreme it's a bit cheaper than the REVO and has a stack of alloy upgrades and an 8 port 21 engine standard. Are the OFNA trucks worth looking at?

Mmmm I don't know, I had a look at the LST, sure the shocks are nice and chunky but the a-arms look a bit on the flimsy side...... the radio gear is of better quality though. Have you had any issues with the compoentry?

I haven't had a chance to check out Model Flight yet, hope to this week sometime. What gear am I going to have to buy on top of the truck to get started? Have you made any upgrades to your LST?

my LST is standard.
you will need a glow plug igniter. petrol and some AA batteries for the transmitter. the rest of the bits are in the kit.
The only modification i have done is changing radio's to my JR R1 from the XS3i that comes in the kit, and moving the 4cell AA pack from under the fuel tank to under the middle deck of the chassis so I can run a 5cell 1100mah NImh pack.

Well that's given me another option to ponder. Cheers, to everyone for your advice.
Is there likely to be a racing scene for the MT's in Adelaide any time soon?
Could anyone with an intrest in seeing some sort of MT racing happen post a hello here just to give an indication of numbers.

carnage......
the LST is the next 'wave' of monster trucks coming through.
the revo was traxxas' altenative to this wave (ie more rtr, larger cc, etc).
depends on your $$$ but i would be going all the way for an LST if i could. i have had the lucky chance to use both an LST and traxxas tmaxx (revo with less perks) and the LST is by far the easier more exciting option.........
plus if you want alloy bits the LST is a LOSI......ie integy, rpm, etc, etc all make hop up parts for these trucks and they look bling........
just my 2c worth! go the LST you wont regret it
