540 Run-in Methods

the optimal run-in is to run the motor of 4 cells for 2 mins then of 2 cells for 4mins. but i heard thats for stock and mod motors. so what i do is connect one of my old half charged 1400 batteries packs to the 540 motor and run it in water for about 2 mins. the clean it out with motor spray and the oil it and it will runn really well.

Hook it up to. 240 Volt for about 1 hour.

It May Work after.........

Jokes.

Just run it in water. Sometimes i put Toothpaste at each end of the motor. so it slowly gose into the bushs when it running.

Cheers:lol:

yea just joking having some fun.

yea with the motor break-in i have also tryed spraying som WD-40 into the water and it does make the motor nice and smooth but it is a bit messy.

yea my trick with the break-in is once you have ran it in water for 2mins spray the inside of the motor with WD-40 the run it in some new water for a futher 20 seconds the spray with motor spray and oil.

not much to remember:lol: i know

you can also put the motor in warm water and run in for about 2min, then after oil the bushings at each end. but dont use motor spray![COLOR=red]

Might try the Holy water in the coming TCS as I will be needing all the help I can get. Where can I get one?

I'm a strong believer in Guinness as it lubricates the bushings at the same time. The big plus is you can drink it when you are finished. I like a big head on it!:D
