Edwin - the M'sian/Sgp powerpoint is the 3-pin "UK style" powerpoint. Will not workon the 3-pin Aussie-style power point. Best to get a travel plug from any electrical shop in KL.

Also .. if bringing any RC gear from Msia, please try to get a declaration form from the M'sian customs (at the airport) otherwise you may get into trouble bringing the stuff back to M'sia.

Wyl03,

I am aware about the type of plugs used in Australia as I have been there before.

Thanks for the custom's declaration tip.

nah, take too long at service counter doing that - I never bother.
Have passed thru Subang & KLI many times carrying RC gear
and even if they check the bag they usually ignore hobby stuff.

Then again I always only carry "used" stuff and they're never cleaned...!!!
(take the wheels off, dirty bashed body etc)

And if they ever raise an eyebrow, plead "Encik, semua ni beli di KL. Australia terlalu mahal, tak mampu lah."

Causeway customs are different breed though.
Methink they got lots more "free time" there.

The Newbie,

You say that you race at Castle hill on-road................I'm curious to know why you say Jake Zarb races there?

Since i've raced there, I've only seen him once or twice.

Jake used to be a regular there, but now he has turned 17 he has a car, and a will to go cruizin. I think you will find him at various late night kebab shops around the greater western region

Burts speed is directionally proportional to the state of his beard. No beard he is in trouble, overgorwn one he is too slow weighed down, if he is perfectly trimmed and ready for his closeups (as per the photos on the other thread) then he is a man to be contended with. watch out all those in his sights

The Newbie,
You say that you race at Castle hill on-road
i heard that it's;
-"a dustbowl"
-"a hack track"
-"like being in a tin of sardines"
-"it's freezing cold in winter"
-"boiling in summer"
-"in the middle of no- where"
-"it's a super tight track"

The Newbie,

Trevor's track is where I started racing and is still my home track.

I'm a newbie too, but I dont tell people to race at Eastern Creek because surikarn races there.

Im not meaning to step on your toes.

But i'm sure we both have our understanding on this.

Btw, George from Hobbytown doesn't recall making he's own equalizers.........

You could say that, but you can apply various points to a lot of tracks at one time or another, besides it would be way toooooooooo challenging for you VWO

Nice to see you can have such a dig on hearsay. Have a go yourself then you can comment.

Can you name another track in Sydney where you can race every week, regardless of the weather and the competeiion and racing is good enough to provide a team to walk away this the interclub challenge.

I don't think so. come and try it, you might be surprised.

unfortunately i can't make it fridays as i work really far away from castle hill. by the time i get home, pack the car and get there it would probably be 8pm+. there's heaps of tracks i wish i could go to more often, (northside and mingara are two) but time and distance, along with having to keep a budget with the hobby restricts this.

maybe the castle hill hear-say im relying on is just like the moorebank hear-say, half truths hear-say usually comes from half-truths. I guess it's seperating the truths from the lies that will give you the real answer from a half-truth.
