low 40's means the rollout of the car, there are a couple of sites you can print out rollout charts for a tc3 i dont have them in front of me a this point but someone will let you know im sure on my tc3 i ran in 540 [when i had them] i used 68t spur & 32-35 t pinion depending on the track layout, you cant really go much bigger in spur size than 68 for 540 because the motor will hit the chassis & no more motor adjustment is available, hope this helps you professor |

That thing was a missile :D |

i just ran my motor underwater for 3 minutes on a four cell pack after oiling the bushes and i won 4WD 540 last year, not marginally either.:D

Thanks..
:D :D Thanks "professer" & "Besercoe" :D :D
I`ll do a search for the rollout charts. Cheers |
i think part of the speed is more to do with batteries as well!!! thats the main reason why i've given up the idea of trying evey single run in method so i prefer to spend time on learning about batteries and setup, also the majority of the methods are pretty much the same.... and like others have said sometimes you get dud motors so its hard to test which method will be good.
but i must say im interested to see how the 12V motor run in method would be like! SPracer sounded very promising, |
Is this correct..?
Did a search for rollout charts/equations & this is what i found & calculated.
Final Ratio : 1 divided by 2.5 = 0.4102 Pinion / Spur : 35 divided by 65 = 0.5384 Wheel Circum : 62 divided by 3.1416 = 194.7792 Rollout = 194.7792 x 0.5384 x 0.4102 = 43.01mm SO is this right.. Cheers |
