I too,would be interested in the new S X X Stock Spec,as I like the simplistic LRP programming.German design efficiency at it's best.
We definitely design better shamwows! |

RE your issue with brakes with Tekin. If you have the V203 software in your ESC you should not have a brakes problem. Most of the guys here have to turn their brakes down on this version Got the SPX in my sons car...He runs stock..I realy couldnt be bothered putting it back in for him...Ill wait and see what develops with the other Tekin stock user,s...One thing I dont like about the Tekin is..You spend days and days getting the current software working..and then they bring out a nother version..and we have to start all over agin..way too hard/technical for me..I just want to race:nod: The SPX is still the fastest in stock at the moment...Drivers both having the same experiance...... I run 10.5..The lrp has plenty of speed and heaps of brakes for me.. and its easy;) |
I agree
The tekin is obviously good, but I think as the motor turns go down the impact of the speedie is lessened[/QUOTE]
Yep:nod::nod: |
looks like Novak is getting in on the action too...

Hi all..
Well as I see it..Theirs really only 2 ways to go..Do you want to carry around a computer or just push a button? Just buy Quality....... The way the speedys are developing...Anything can happen any way..I have ALL the current speedys,,and I like the LRP because I can push a button.. for example...I'm trying a new motor this weekend,,its going to be warm..so if the motor runs hot and I like the way it performs..I can just drop a profile..ands alls well..way too easy.... One thing I have recently discovered though...Is that batteries play a MAJOR part..again....I ran 30c/ 40c,,same brand IB's..I put in some 50c SMC.and way, way better...so its speedy updates and fresh cells...I thought with lipos..the battery wars had ended:confused::confused: But that's another story... mike In spec classes it is not so much a battery war as it is FRESH lipos. Any fresh quality lipo will be quicker than a lipo a few months old .. just a simple fact of life with lipos. They do not fail like the last generation of nimh cells. They keep going, albeit at a lower performance level |
Lipos
Yeah..Im finding that out to...Its all a new ball game again..Which I think is good..Its revived my interest in electrics..I was so sick or re-matching batteries ALL the time/ re-building motors..I have over $2500 worth of matchers/chargers/dischargers that aint worth S%^T!!!!!!.
But love the brushless..just oil the bearings and your pretty well right.. One question about Lipos....How many 5 min runs with lipos untill the battery is not at its best?..I thought with NIMH's it was about 6-10. then they lost their edge Mike |

I might have to run 17.5 on Sunday to display this, I too have also run the SPX and the Tekin, at the Keilor cup last weekend in Victoria my 17.5 motor was insane in a straight line and out of corners was like it was shot out of a cannon. Just ask Antoni what my car was like on the practice day at the parks :nod: I do hear what you are saying though on the push a button and set it and forget it, however once you understand the Tekin it is easy and I hardly change the settings and more so just change the gearing. V203 software is actually easier than V200 or previous versions. |
Elliot Harper uses the new gt2.1 speedie in a major 12th scale race overseas and wins with the 10.5 motor and gt2.1 LOL.

Speedpassion were showing the power compared to modified cars.
In 10.5 and LRP came top 5 places with GT 2.1 filling the rest of the places but 1 which was Tekin (8).. Guess the answer to the question everyone is asking.. if you run 17.5 or higher Tekin 203 is the speedy of choice, if it stay's there with SXX SS and GT2.1 coming out who knows.. You still need to be able to drive the bloody thing but hey that is the fun :lol: The new SP Gt2.1 again correct me if wrong.. but is a small form GT2 designed for 12th scale and stock racing limited to 8.5 turns.. It is running the same software as gt2 be it Stock 110 and Stock 107 software.. But more of a relistic size. Nice and small just like LRP and Tekin. |
