What about all these mcp

13.5 Rubber

1 Jason Schreffler - Tekin
2 Kevin Hebert - LRP
3 Larry Fairtrace - Tekin
4 Barry Baker - Tekin
5 Francesco Martini
6 Martin Crisp
7 Austin Harrison
8 Jeff Cuffs - Tekin
9 Brad Johnson
10 Drew Ellis

And the other stock classes are like this also.
Tekin is together with the LRP the fastest on the track. No AE in sight. lol

Perhaps because AE isnt as readily available as the other 2 ....

No 416s in sight either Wayne, they must be slow too

The tekin is obviously good, but I think as the motor turns go down the impact of the speedie is lessened

hi there,
would there be any advantage with running a spx stock spec over a sphere tc in 10.5? got one spare, just wondering if it is worth the hassel of changing over
cheers, Lee

yeah massive difference. with TC spec with say a SP v3 10.5 u gear around 5.5-5.6 on a largish track (35-40m straight) with SPX u gear it around 8.0-8.3. they sound like mod cars down the straight.

This whole timing thing is getting pretty scary, at windsor with a 10.5 and a RS Pro, i am now down to 9.4 (21.1mm)

I have run mod motors with bigger rollouts

Just to add my cents worth..

In F1 they are always changing rules to slow the cars down, and they just find new ways of making the cars faster each year the pole is always fast than the year development is that advanced..

So on this RC is not quite F1 but sometime can cost the same , the principles are all there each year there is a new development of some kind which means a product be it ESC firmware, tyres maybe even a new body shell is just as fast as F1 be it not as costly.

Maybe we could look at making a ESC and Motor combo but then someone will find a way of making that quicker it is the nature of the beast.

Possible we could have a class which don't allow ESC or motor timing advance so it is more a Stock playing field but more of a choice of manufacture or personal preference.

Tekin and LRP will battle it out this year next year something else will..

Just to point out no Tekin made the Mod A finals at ETS All SP, KO (Orion) and LRP in 10.5 the top 5 where LRP and 8th was the only Tekin.

Not really sure that means much that was more about the track, motor, driver and maybe even battery this could all be reverse at Thailand next month.

Looking forward to battling a good season this year if that means spending more money to compete at the top level then so be it, not everyone has this luxury but they still manage to keep up with the rest of the pack so it is really all about what you spend or talent.

matrix101 02-01-2010 02:29 AM

Is it worth buying LRP locally, or are they still stupidly overpriced compared with o/s?

paraletic 02-01-2010 02:35 AM
