TA04 setups?

TA04 setups?
I hope some one out there can help me with my problem?
I am running a ta04 that i recently upgraded to have ssl carbon upper and lower decks and ssl carbon front and rear shock towers. My problem is that after doing this the standard dampers seemed way too long and held the car way too far off the ground even after trying different internal spacers holes on the towers etc... the only way i have found to remedy this prob is to use the tamiya super mini shock units which work fine but i now want to upgrade to low friction shocks and they all seem the same lenght as the standard dampers am i missing something or are there dampers that are low friction but same lenght as the low friction ones? any help would be great

Sounds like you didn't bother comparing your new SSG shock
towers to your old ones?? Holes are in different place?
You need to use Tamiya's "Short" springs on standard CVAs.
The Super Mini CVAs only ever come in plastic.

Try the shorter springs and make sure you are using the shorter shock rods too.
My TA04R came with slightly longer rods than the set of trf shocks I later bought. I know you can also get the rods seperately as a spare part.
P.S - I never use the grub screws to adjust ride height, I use the shock collars.

sounds like your springs are too long. the tamiya hard tuned springs are a perfect for your 04 so get some and check out other ppls cars as well. BTW I have used both carbon and plastic towers and there is no shock length difference.
