1. Durability - yes, its the most durable 1/10 electric on the market atm
2. Quality - second to none
3. Performance / Handling - this is a little subjective and depends a lot on your skill level and setup. imo? I like it better than a B44
4. Price of admission - Not so good. HIGH. But imo, this is quickly absorbed by the durability factor. I broke my first part this week, (diff ring gear) , and this is after months of running.
5. Support - second to none, probably better than most as Venom are doing a top job.
6. Ease of setup - Moderate, hasn't been around long enough for there to be a definitive setup. Im just about to try out JK's setup.. Will let you know whether it's his setup or his skill that lets him win races
7. Perfect Buggy? Car to rule all others? - Heck no.... there ain't no such thing. But this is as close as you'll get for the moment

I also beleive running anything around a 5.5 is to much for 4wd ( most 4wd's ) although my testing has made me beleive that its the only way to go.
I originally ran a 7.5 with ben panics gearing and found my car would thermal during races. I then lowered the gearing to the point that it would not thermal, at this stage i had stock drivers passing me down the straight so it was pretty much pointless running a 7.5. My theory was to run a faster turn motor with a lower gearing so it can push the car easier and still maintain top speed. Well. i got myself a 5.5t and tried it and it works. So ill stick with it. Im running a lower gearing than anybody else, much more top speed than anyone else and my electronics are coming back "warm" .
Jarred.

It's not like I'm going to be winning any races anyways.. but I'd rather not loose whilst cheating

I have just resigned myself to understanding that this car is going to run 30Deg F higher than the B44 and others.

2.2.12 states the tyres will not be modified in any way, does that include the insert?
Clubbies or non-sanctioned are not going to enforce this. A good example is to cut and shut Losi Bigshots for front 4WD tyres. Would not be allowed under the rules.
Probably the wrong thread to be going on about this......

It's a curly one , IMO the rule concerning this is "vague".

insert has to be std if called out

I know at this years vic titles, nothing is to be added inside the tyre, and that includes tapeing. But nothing says that in the aarcmcc rules. Maybe its the sign of things to come. But the way aarcmcc go about doing things, it will take another 5 years to implement their rules, so tape ahead!

I ran my rango for the first time on the weekend at ryde....it survived the cartwheels with only minor damage...one tuff buggy.
I was running a 16t pinion with the stock spur, 5.5T ballistic and tekin rs pro with some guru tuning by brenos and john. All good after each of 3 races - esc temp at 80deg C and motor at 70 deg C.
