hi Im not too new to racing. I bought a second hand Tamiya TAO3F-S but its screwed up now and doesnt work very well and i cant seem to really get some new parts for it as i've been told the models been discontinued. Anyway i've decided to buy a new kit and I was wondering wat kit i should buy. I'd prefer an on-road electric thats not too expensive. I've been looking at a HPI rally kit does anyone think that thats a good kit?
Thanx in advance

Are you looking to race touring cars at club level ? If so, then there are far better choices than the HPI Rally. Just choose a good kit that's within your budget from any of the manufacturers (Tamiya, HPI, Schumacher, etc etc) that has easy parts backup and availability and is easy to set up and maintain. Don't let someone bs you into thinking one car is superior to another - the car is only a small part of the equation, the driver is the main ingredient.

are you racing onroad or offroad.
if its offroad
losi or associated are the best.
If its onroad
Losi, associated, x-ray, tamiya, hpi, yokomo
most of companies make a "budget" and a "race" kit of there cars.
Difference usually is price and some of the materials used.
Buying from overseas is alot cheaper.

a good electric tourer is the schumacher mission it is available in aus for $299 from various online shops like frontline in newcastle or metro in melb its an excelent car which is still very fast in the right hands and will be supported with the new car (MI2) out soon you will still need electrics but you should have these from your old car.
hope this helps

Schumacher mission is very affordable competitive car at the moment. Very strong car ... Any other car like Evo3, Yokomo SD, Xray and TC3 is also good. Make sure you check the spare part availability.
