Hi All.
Well I have taken James layout and drew it up on cad to see how it all fits and to me seems pretty good. I used Google Earth to calculate the size of the place, so everything is approx until accurate measurements can be taken. I have also kept the track at 4m wide as i started to draw it at that size, i now know it can be 3m if we wish. I have also rounded the sweeper a little more.
Let us know what u guys think.

Oh yeah as the track is drawn full size and if we get accurate measurements of the entire area then when it comes to drawing up the track after painting we can take all measurements and corner radius from the cad drawing and it will look as it does on paper.

You will also need to rotate the pdf anticlockwise as I'm not sure how to do that yet when printing....

Hey Guys,

I wont be able to make it to the working bee next week.

The track drawing looks awesome so many choices including Fast and Technical.

Good to see it all falling in to place.

I Dont think the new propsed layout is technical enough looks good stu, much easier to tell on the CAD drawing from the paint 1.

So has anyone got any other possible layouts? What about something similar to the TITC/worlds track layout that others were talking about?

I looked at the TITC track layout and there is only a few layouts with it and really is potentially limiting.

Awesome to see things coming along so nicely. Apologies for not making the working bee. I was made to choose Sunday racing or saturday working bee so we all know what loses out when those sort of choices need to be made.

New track design looks frickin awesome. Cant wait for all this to come together. Benzaah

just a thought....what if we get say rubber strip, say 200 wide to put along the fence instead of sheetmetal??? would be better and we should be able to get it in rolls from say a rubber place... ie clark rubber????

Blade,
I don't think rubber would be as good as steel as it would be able to catch the cars a bit more. Rubber is also more expensive, and would be harder to securely attach.
I have some rubber which would be like what you are thinking about, which we can try and see what people think. I also have some corrugated garden edging which I think would be quite good aswell. Or, just don't run off the track!!!

What about something like this for a track layout? Wider of course.

I really like the corners (rounded) and the chicane looks really cool aswell

Im in favour or the rubber type , we dont want the track to become a car killer , more so for the Junior/Novice 540 racers,

Hi All,

Mike sorry to hear about your foot/ toes. Dave Ben and Mark, James mike and my self Were talking about the edging the other day and were thinking of Agpipe same as what is used at Bendigo and is a Fairly Cheap too from what i understood and can be pegged down.

At least we don't have to worry about vince launching his car in to parked cars like he did yeseterday as the car park is far enough away.

Nothing is impossible! My Xray flew over the fence and hit a ford... My Xray did damage to the Ford.... and thanks to the marshall who put me back on the track and the 009 went as good as ever...

Sorry Rob about the damage to your Ford.

Oh.... and Daza.. my name is spelt with a capital V thank you..
