WOW thats a nice entry list! 112 entries just for a state title... you don't see those kind of entries for sanctioned events these days!

Probably another stupid question but with the 540 motors what makes them legal, I have some that are Matt Grey, some that are shiny silver, what should I be looking for to make sure they are legal ?

That they are johnson/mabuchi 540 motors. Basically, if they are the same as what comes with the Tamiya kits, then you'll have no troubles.

also in terms of the shininess, i found once i got a new motor it started off shinny and then dulled to matt finish after running it a few times.

On the entry form it advises that only the Modified guys have the option of buying an extra set of tires, is this correct ?

Has there been any discussion of this potentially changing for Super stock and Stock, most events allow all A Finalists the option of doing this.

Hey i asked this earlier, but is timing going to be or possible be available on the friday for practice. Just wanting to check to know if i can muck around with a few things.

Also what time will the track be open on friday?

Track will be Open from 9 Maybe Later in the Day there will be some Live Timing, I myself wont be there until later ...
