I'd recommend going for a 2nd hand TA05 roller ($80-$150) if you've got the electronics/batteries and then replace some of its parts and get some spares with the remaining $$..
The TA05 to be seems good for most stock classes (including super stock), but probably not for modified touring
Or if you're looking for a new RTR then try the Kyosho TF5..
I think they are around $300-$350 locally, prob cheaper when purchased overseas.
Its got a plastic tub much like the TA05 but also comes with an upper deck (plastic but at least its there!) and includes a set of tyres and a painted touring car body (not sure how many choices there are, but there is a Mazda6) with radio and all the shiznit you'd expect from an RTR.

Well I am going to be racing the 540 class in my local area and I decided to go with a Cyclone S. I bought the kit but you can get an RTR although you should get the kit because it works out cheaper.
