What is everyones thoughts on Electric Touring Classes here in Australia?

1 Vote Permitted, check your preferred 19t tire ruling....

im sure the colder climes would not agree with my feeble constitution;)

besides which the employment conditions for my line of work are not as good down south, and that would prevent me from purchasing all those tyres and inserts i would surely need:p

The rubber thing for 19 turn would be a even harder step to get into Modified racing (foam) and give another excuse to not move up from the stock masters.

Open tires rule, I see that alot of USA guys are enjoying the foam racing at club level now. I can see a shift in the future for sure.

Yes, Australia will decide to switch from foam to rubber at the same time USA switch to foam.

I don't think Australia will ever switch to rubber it's just too hot and too expensive. The feeling I am getting from the USA and from people I know that race over there it will not be long before larger races convert to it. He said "The good old american way, what ever is faster is good".

But hey we don't want to start yet another rubber v's foam war here so we will just leave it at that.

Just thought it was worth pointing out that if you combine the number of votes of mod+23T with mod+27T and then combine mod+19T+27T with mod+19T+23T you can see the numbers who prefer 2 classes and those who prefer 3 classes.

That would be single make class (Novak). Not as clear a spec as 19T or 27T etc. :( Not to say that this would not make a great club spec class...

the Novak BL in stock mode would be a great class, even in the stock profile the motor is pretty qik. However getting such a class off the ground may be tough as it is basically a 1 "brand" class and there always a girls who get there nickers on knot over this type of issue.

I'm sure sure most owners of the Novak BL would welcome such a class.

how many of these do you reckon there are in the greater sydney area?

there are 3 that get a bit of use in the IMCC - is it worth the novak bl owners sorting a meeing out on their own?

Black night u got the brushless thing in stock right.I tried it at our local clubs and boy did some people cause a stink.Maybe when a few more people buy them it may happen.
