Shhhhhhh dont tell EVERYONE..... oh... woops

On another note, for those interested in the control tires.

I've been using them over the last few weeks at Castle Hill, SMA and Windsor with great results. The car feels great to drive on them in both stock and 10.5, no real signs of fade over a run, and theres plenty of grip.

On one of the sets i've been using i'm up to the 15th run and still going strong.

Anyway, back to our entertainment for the weekend lol

While I was in the neighborhood last weekend I thought I would call over to the NATs track, seeing I haven't seen it for 5 year plus. To be honest the surface is quite good.
Looking forward to the warmup meet on the 16th.

Over the years ive kept an eye on it...via Google earth . Very good track, should be some very fast racing. Some of the hottest race meetings ive ever been to were at Kambah.... trips to the near by servo fridge were a delight.

Default Times

Are there any results floating around for previous events at Kambah.

I am interested in what type of times the different classes would be setting?

Trev,

Is there any work going to be done to the track in terms of barriers etc.

Any corner domes or alike???

There doesnt seem to be anything present in the photos that i can see.

Obviously the race referees will notice anyone track "shortening", but i thought id ask.

And is the pit area the building behind the drivers stand, as seen from the GE picture???... or is it all open car park space for tents etc.

Cheers

I just checked Kambah's Website, it now redirects you to our website so I guess not. Maybe someone has an old copy of racing lines with a summer or winter nats report?

Aside from this, someone has entered the Nationals and NOT put there name in the comments field. If this person is you please E-mail with the transaction ref. number so we can confirm your payment.

Robbie are you a Kambah virgin?
Track barriers were always 2 x 4 pinned together, with plow disks on most of the corners. was reasonably hard on cars, however the design is pretty good, and the track markings were very good, you had to stuff up to make a bad crash. Def no chance of short circuiting.

Pit area is the grassed area up against the building, the building is a small lockup hire business.

Nerdling - what direction? i always loved going down the straight, through the sweeper.

And what is the plan for power? a big commercial generator again?

Robbie

The pit area will be the open area behind the drivers stand.

The fastest time was 22 laps 5mins 7 sec by Darrin Campbell at summernats about four or five years ago with foam tires and a truck load of vht. I doubt we will see times like that again (lap times were in the low 15 seconds).

A couple of 24KVA's behind and beside the track.

Pits will be both the grassed areas beside and behind as well as the road ways in thoes areas. The roads will be closed, no cars will not be allowed in thoes areas.

I made a video of all three mod A finals for that event. There should be a handful of DVD's floting round that show quite possible one of the best mod finals every with Dazza and Karn going blow for blow for 5 mins straight. If anyone has a copy see about posting the 3rd final somewhere.
