Yep, I've just got my Kyosho Cup regulations book from Japan. There is a type R class and Type S class.
Type R class is for the V1RR EVO and FW-05R. The type S class is now for the FW-05S. The S class is the class they run for the World Cup.
Interesting as well that you can run OS and Sirio engines in the domestic Japanese series!!

Unless it is the real deal then there is no use entering.

Its as close to the real deal as we are going to get. Top 3 qualify for the world cup. 1st place gets $1000.00 towards airfares & accomadation. If 1st place doesnt take up the option then it goes to 2nd & so on. Not as good a deal as it could be, but better than a flick on the dick with a wet shoelace. Unless your into that sort of thing .

Also it is definatly V-one-S only. No RR parts can be used. The date is feb 8. Track is open sat 7th for practice with fuel supplied for practice as well as racing on sunday. The crappy kyosho rubber tyres suck, but what can you do. I guess they figure its the only way anyone will be able to sell them.

I wonder who's great idea it is to only allow the V1S? Wouldn't it just be better to keep up with what Kyosho are doing in Japan and at least allow V1S and FW-05S cars? Considering that when you get to the WORLD CUP everyone will be using the FW-05S????? As usual the Aussies will be behind the 8 ball even before we get the the World Cup because of the so called "special regulations" in Australia.
I'd love to go with my FW-05S and compete but I'm not buying a superseaded car just for 1 race meeting. I'm sure a few other people around who also have the FW-05S would agree.
AND I STRESS THAT THE V1S/V1SII IS NOW A SUPERSEEDED CAR AND HAS BEEN FOR A FEW MONTHS.
