Why can't we use common sense, if a Marshall looks at the truck when Marshalling and it looks like a pipe, sounds like a pipe, tastes like a pipe, and the truck has been revving for more than 2 seconds before needing assistance, chances are that it is a pipe and it will be hot. If the Marshall can't come to this conclusion within a nats second, what is the Marshall doing on the track?

I have not read the whole thread and some one may have come up with this idea already, but couldn't you just have a list of approved MT's ?

in buggy you have a list of approved pipes
and electric approved motors and batteries

I dare say there would not be more than 20 different MT's clear cut and to the point

EG,
Revo
T-maxx
MGT
Savage
LOST LST Series Ahhhh! what about the muggy?
