Adz'd tips for the day...
step 1 buy a mini step 2 turn over manual and get every hop up from LHS.(every piece counts!) step 3 assemble step 4 go out and play! :D |
Doesn't this apply to any car? R/C or otherwise??
|
Not at all. The secret to going fast is not in the buying of hopups, it's smooth driving. Sure, some "optional" parts are not so "optional", but half the supposed go-fast bits are money makers, pure and simple.
Exhibit A : Anything anodised. Adds cost, looks fine, but does it make you faster? No. -Scott |

(not the full size touring car hoops) Direct fit, needs no fixing - X-patts in the B14-40 work better than anything Tamiya has on the Mini-tyre market. Tamiya & HPI etc sell mini-size inserts too. |
more questions

Originally posted by tabs one more.... ball or gear diff? how do you make the gear diff work?... sorry thats two. laptimes between cars with ball or gear diffs. Imho gear is more reliable; such a pain getting access to the diff to adjust it as you'll have to pull half the car apart to do it. Some stuff their gear diffs with heavy grease... |

WC, thanks again! consider myself an OK mini driver, but has not really driven gear diffs in competition, not even tried. Then i saw posts that says gear diffs are used by fast guys, thats why it got me curious. Thanks for clearing it up for me.
