Thanks Ari,
The car was awesome for the whole weekend and was so planted that peeling of consistently quick laps was made a lot easier. The car was also quick and had plenty of punch from the Orion Vortex 08 17.5 and Intellect 5000 lipo combo
I was the only car in stock to break into 23 laps for the weekend and this was against other chassis such as Schumacher, Tamiya 416, X-Ray and Associated.
I maybe wrong but I think that now makes the Corally PHI the current South Australia, New South Wales and Victorian State stock title holder. One more big one to go in November
As Ari said I will put together my set up sheet from the weekend,
Cheers

Cheers Luke,
The 416 I was referring to was Matty's and there was also one other in the field as well. You did extremely well for not having much time on the track, the incident I had on the start was my bad but made up for it again in the 3rd.

Oh sorry haha i thought it may have been mine cause alot of people think its a 416 haha i wish it was though. I thought both the matts had MI3s? though i haven't seen whicksy's car. Yes you drove well throughout the whole weekend, and it showed the only one in 23 laps which is a great effort. Thanks for that mate, i was pretty impressed that my car ran the whole weekend on the single set of tyres lol.

Certainly will be, I am looking forward to it.
I wanted to actually drop by Whalan to check out the track when I was over for the Muchmores the other week.
I hear it is a large open gas type track with lots of grip, looks like lots of practice up at Little Hampton is in order

Hi guys, I am just getting back into RC and i'm in the process of getting an RDX Phi. Now seeing as im getting back into it when i left i was running stock (about 2 yr ago) so i need to brush up on my driving etc. I will be running it in 540 for now cause i don't have the funds for stock just yet. So my question is do i need to modify the motor mount to fit big pinions so i can run a ratio of 4.2? Or can you run aftermarket spur gears on the car so i can just get a real small one?

You dont need to modify anything, in 17.5 I am able to run down to ratios of 3.2.
You will just need to fit a smaller spur such as a 68 or 65 tooth spur and bigger pinions from Robinson Racing which I got from Northern Beaches Hobby Centre ( www.nbhc.com.au )
Bolt the motor in an put the pinion on from the other side of the bulkhead once the motor is in. If you put the pinion on first you wont fit it through the bulkhead opening.
Hope this helps,
Cheers
James.
