2007 AARCMCC EP On Road Nationals
#77
Before anyone asks about entries, I've been informed Bob is away for work and I've not been told when he'll be back. As soon as I know, you'll know.
And in case my sense of homour is not understood (look at the times of the post by jamie814340 and my response), track would be described as low to medium grip and undulating. There is also an elevation change from top to bottom. Plenty of runoff areas, so breakages should be minimal. I'm certainly happy with the number of track related breakages I've had over the course of the year. For photos go to www.rrcsa.org.au. No flat netball courts here!
I probably received a response a bit late, but you can provide your own practice tyres. I don't know whether we will have any to sell if you can't get them from shops now.

Sorry, no hobby shops near the track that sell XRay. The authorised reseller in Adelaide is Complete Hobbies and Models, 1577 Main North Rd, Salisbury East, 5109. Ph (08) 8285 4482. From the track to the shop is a fair drive, you're looking at a 100km round trip. My advice would be to stock up before you come.

19 Turn / Stock Motor Clarifications
All,
The following notice is to confirm various questions that have been asked about 19T and Stock Motors. A similar notice is being sent to the clubs via e-mail by Peter Ellis in the next few days.
19 Turn Motors
A number of people have asked whether the Orion Element 2007 / Peak Dynasty 07 motors are AARCMCC legal.
These motors don't meet AARCMCC specifications and therefore are NOT LEGAL for AARCMCC events.
Stock Motors
Drivers need to be aware that the colour of the armature tag is critical to determining whether or not a Stock motor is legal and not a hybrid.
Drivers found to be running Stock motors with an incorrectly tagged armature will be penalised as described in the AARCMCC rules.
"CO" style motors (blue can) come with a GREEN armature tag.
"X" style motors (black can) come with a RED armature tag.
"Monster" or "Epic" style motors (satin bronze can) come with a BLACK armature tag.
Regards
Chris Peet

I would try the guys at Hobby Habbit to see what they have as they do have an Xray 07 on the shelf.
I would be suprised it the guys at Complete models would have any 1/10 Xray bits in stock, not to say they would not be able to order them but they are more nitro than electric.

Actually, now you mention it I too recall seeing an XRay at Blair Athol last time I was there to buy paint. I don't pay too much attention when I'm only after the one thing from the shop.
Still a fair hike from the track to either shop. Your weekend's screwed if you have to go for parts anyway, unless you can send someone.

True, but Melrose Park isnt too bad if they've got the stuff. Goggle Earth is saying about a 1hr round trip from littlehampton to melrose park.

So any actual time frame as to when we can expect an entrants list to be compiled and put up as it would be nice to know that our entries are in, more so than who the competition is.

I asked Bob for a list earlier in the week. He's read that email and I intend asking him again tomorrow at the meeting. He could respond over the weekend and since I sent the request from work, I won't know until Monday morning.
I can't ask too many times as you know how it is when someone asks you several times for the same thing...
