Qualifying hasnt started yet, Ill grab the qual list tomoz when we finish and post it if you like.
A big update is the cs32s were a bad batch and almost every single mod driver tore them apart from the middle of the tyre where it is glued, so they are now running cs 27s.

All the mod guys were still trying setup, MOST are running 6 cell with 4.5 or 4.0 motors and as i left some were bolting in the 3.5 with 6 cell.
Quite a few guys running 16.4 sec lap times but most around the 16.6.

The 4.0 is a new one from LRP. It's supposed to be a balance between the drivability of the 4.5 and the power of the 3.5.

As for the tyres, what I've heard is it's only been a couple of drivers that have had issues.

Oh and cannon,

Ok,

32s were splitting at the join for most mod drivers so we changed to 27s, why? Because we used them last year at the States and none split.

The power in brushless has developed that much in the last year that now the same tyres arent coping. And these 27s are from the same batch in which Andrew Abbott was running 4.5 Novak in TC4, Andy Cooke was running 7 single in his RDX.

If you see Nicholsons car getting around you can see that its realy agressive on tyres and I guess that the take offs havent been developed too much recently. Last being the 2004 worlds in Kissimee Florida I think.

An update on whos fast in mod would be Nicholson, Maker, Jovanovics, Leonard, Vergunst, Jakie. These are all running 6cell.

Whos fast in stock? Rhys, ....

:-D

Swanny, .... as Ark has said ..... a tyre totally inadequate for the event. That was my point.

And is Ark saying that the tyres that are being used are from the same batch as last year meaning that they are a year old?

Anyhow, good to se that the normally quick guys are still quick

just shows how much faster the cars are going this year compared to last year in mod, last years fastest single lap time was 17.225, this year Simon N did a 15.908, 6 cell on this track still seems to be the fastest, if you can make run time.

And a sub 18 second lap by Justin Summerill in 19 turn.

Also the track is slightly different than last year - the second last corner is less pronounced so the cars come into the last turn with a bit more speed.

I'd hate to think you were getting cynical in your old age.
