Intro!

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself, I live in Sydney and want to get into R/C racing. I bought a Kyosho Outrage a few years ago (96), I'm sure most of you guys consider it a "toy" but I'm looking forward to tricking it out a little and seeing what it can do.
I'll probably show my face at Castle Hill or St Ives, I live in Hornsby so they are closest.
I'm sure I'll have some questions but for now most of it belongs in the newbees forum...I'll be checking in here tho to see whats happening in the good half of the world tho!
Outrage!

Don't worry if your car is not the latest greatest.
If you can drive well, you can beat a hopeless case with a new TB evo III.
Plenty of those at Castle Hill some nights.
Welcome, ask silly questions, we will do our best to help.

I guess it's off road, I am very uneducated on this stuff...
I'll probably just hang around a few races and get a feel for it, I drove it for the first time today and could barely keep it straight. My radio is a 2 stick deal, no little steering wheels for me
I found a pic! Dawn Trading are still selling these things? I bought mine in 96, and Kyosho say it's discontinued!

If you would like to race this Sunday, bring your gear along and enter into the novice class and have some fun with the other beginners. We would prefer you to have a 540 type motor, but we will let you run whats in the truck.
If you have time, drop into the track on Sat and have a drive free of charge, but watch out for the wally's that tear up the track with their nitro cars.

The outrage is an absolute bargain, my brother bought a kit for $130 dollars a few years ago! If your going to race see if you can get some some soft compound tyres for the rear, if you can't put them on the stock rims Tamiya Baja Champ rims might fit. You'll notice a big improvement in handling with this mod alone.

Thanks for the info guys.
I'll try to get up to Castle Hill this weekend if I can give my girlfriend the slip...I have a 540 motor fastolfart, so thats OK. goodez, I'm going to run my car completley stock for a while until I learn more about driving, plus get the cash flow moving!
