Pull Start: - 18 only 2 left

18+2=20
12*2=24

Hope you get you gear right that weekend

I could be here for hours with you.

10 car heats
4 1/8th’s
5 NTC
2 Pull
Allow 15min per heat = 2h45m

12 car heats
3 1/8th’s
5 NTC
2 Pull
Allow 15min per heat = 2h30m

Their is only 7hour a day of track time. You need a day and half just to run all the Xmas finals

All I have said is the racing would have to start on Thursday if you want to get though all of the heats with all of the drivers that have entered.

He’s a quote that I just found on AARCMCC site
2.10.3 The track site must be available for competitors use to allow at least two (2) full days of practice before the event.

Think there is another one about 10 cars maximum per race

Racers are going by the schedule on the entry, booked their flight and motel. It would be unfair to start qualify early so some of them might not get partice. What is done is done, perhaps we have to run 5 mins qualify to get it through.

Never been to a meeting where there is no delay... Is Melbourne after all... I would bet on the weather not holding up. Is unfair to cancel pull start class... I think 5 mins qualify is the only solution.

Let's clear up a couple of points here:

Don't forget that Lilydale needs to have the 1 hr lunch break on weekend and engines off by 5.
MRCCR can run from 9:00am until 6:00pm with a 45min lunch break. There is 8hrs15min available per day . Not 7 hrs as previously stated.

It was always intended to run shorter Pull Start heats and finals which was reflected in their cheaper entry fees.

Have just had a look at your schedule for the Nats. I think you are being a bit ambitous hoping to hold a staggered start 10 minute qualifier with a 3 minute warmup in 14 minutes. I have never seen this accomplished before and think it is an impossibility. Or do you intend to run 5 minute qualifiers?
I assume you will have a practice by heats on Thursday afternoon.

Regards Trevor.

Gee Trevor, what qualification do you have in setting up heat’s. "The World's"

Please don’t reduce race times. I set my car up for the pitlane, I need the pit stops to make up time. My pitcrew is about a second quicker then anyone else, so Stev says (the best pitman in the world's). Therefore if I do a pit stop every lap I should be able to lap the field. TQ for me.

Fairracer

Now thats an interesting theory. Maybe I need to put in more practice at pit stops if I hope to keep up with the "Worlds Greatest" as I am a bit rusty.

I wasn't being critical of the organisers , as I know what a thankless job it can be. I just feel that maybe they are being a bit ambitious with the schedule. I am sure all will run smoothly in the end, however there is no time built in for any hiccups.

Trevor.

You should DEFINITELY go 5 mins heats - otherwise this event will take forever to comlete. No other event in the world runs 10 min heats (except the Worlds which is fair enough) so I've never been able to understand why we do. Probably because the real power in this country is held by pitman (like trevor ) who want their share of the glory!

Go 5 - guarantee it won't change the outcome - we will all just stand around and do nothing alot less.....
