WA F1 Challange Round 2 PRECC 24 Mar 10

All F1 runners please be aware that there is usually very limited free practice time (sometimes even none) between setting up the track and starting the race meeting.

F1 drivers (1/12 and also mini) are welcome to come along any club night. If we can get at least 4 drivers we should be able to give you your own race. less than four gets tricky as there is not enough marshalls for the following race.

We will always try and accomodate anyone who comes along on a Wednesday night.

Cheers,
Toby

If anyone with a 1/12th scale would like to have an enjoyable time in beautiful Albany we are racing at Easter on Sat 4th April. Feature class for the day is 1/12th scale and you will run eight 7 minute heats We have six super fast cars all running Lipo 2s, if you think you're up to the challenge come and show us what your car can do. Our track is absolutely fantastic for 1/12 scale. We will have an onboard camera on one of the cars and a laptop for viewing the action.

We are also running nitro pullstart and modified electric.

There is lots of family entertainment down here at Easter. We have one of the best country Speedways in Australia and are hosting the WA State Title for Super Sedans.

I will soon have a track photo available

Sorry guys, looks like I'm going to miss out again as I have a social sport semi final on the same night. I'll definitely be in for the remainder of the season.

What, and RC Car racing isn't a social sport?

You'll be behind in points Birky, you'll have to pull out some blinders to take the series

Hey bloke,

Question: 2C lipo on a pan? i didn't think that would be legal? What batteries are you using? I can easily convert, just remove Novak 1C booster.

I have a 1C lipo set up, but against a 2C i would have it handed to me... even though i would anyway.

I doubt i can make 4th April, but definately keen for future 1/12 events.

Albany runs under its own rules which make more sense to us, we dont weigh our little 1/12th down like a horse, so no minimum weight which gives us better run time up to 15 minutes and lots less tyre wear (make sense "yep")
Yes we run 2s lipo 25C which are nearly twice as fast as 1s, batteries cost $22 each, anyone welcome here in Albany we value all racers.

sounds like a lot of sense to me.. as you said, not legal for state titles and the like but.

I have just spent up big on my pan with 1C.. planning on racing states.

So... weight?? what do you mean here? mine would weigh less than either a 4C or even a 2C lipo... less power tho granted.

Where and what brand of battery are you talking about? i can only just put a 5000mAh 1C in. I want to try one out just for kicks.

What motor size are you running?? i use a 10.5, with a 4C GTB Novak, and Novak Smart Boost.

I live in Collie, so we talking a 4 hour drive to come down, so is your track established? just starting?
